The PUA community and industry.

As previously mentioned in my introduction post, I will now go into more detail as to why I feel PUA is a scam, and should be avoided by men, who are considering using PUA methods.

For those of you, not familiar with the acronym PUA, it stands for "Pick up artist", and it refers to both a community and industry that claims that men can be taught certain techniques that will make them more attractive to women, irrespective of their looks, age, race, financial status etc.

The main issue I have with the PUA industry, are their empty promises that any man irrespective of his looks, age, race, financial status etc can attract extremely attractive (or hot) looking women if he learns certain techniques, that the PUA company will "teach" for an often hefty fee. The problem with this, is that looks, is a major factor in attraction and what use are PUA techniques to a physically unattractive man if a woman has already rejected him, because he is simply not her type?

You cannot teach attraction as it is for the most part visual, and how does a "natural", ie, a tall good looking guy who pick ups women easily teach a short, balding ugly man how to be attractive? It's analogous to a 7ft tall in the NBA trying to teach a 3ft midget how to slam dunk a 10ft tall basketball hoop, it's never going to happen, now matter how hard the midget tries.

The purpose of this blog is to warn those men, who are considering spending money on PUA products, not to do so. I will go into more detail about this later.
